The South Peace Division of Family Practice Locum Network connects general practitioner locums with opportunities throughout our region. Physicians within the South Peace region can post upcoming locum tenens needs, and interested locum physicians can explore available opportunities, submit their availability, and request specific South Peace communities where they would like to work.

Member physicians looking for locum coverage are encouraged to complete the Locum Request Survey.
Note: We recommend submitting your request here as early as possible, as many GP locums are booked 6–12 months in advance.

Physicians interested in short-term work in the beautiful South Peace region of British Columbia are asked to complete the Locum Opportunities Form to help us match your availability and preferences with local opportunities.

Funding Support
The South Peace Division of Family Practice may provide interim travel and accommodation support for locum physicians working in Dawson Creek. The communities of Chetywnd and Tumbler Ridge are supported by the Rural Family Practice Locum Program (RFPLP).
In addition, a locum house and vehicle may be available in some communities to help reduce costs and support a smooth transition for visiting physicians.
